We are very proud to announce that our member, lecturer and colleague, Simon Ward FICS was awarded the Ted Renshaw prize in memory of the Past President of the Bristol Maritime Trade Association.
The award was given as a recognition of Simon’s endless contribution and commitment in promoting and furthering the professional maritime education within the shipping industry, in inspiring the future generation and in raising the professional standards.
He has been also recognized for his initiative and launch of the ICS Global Book Drive, where thousands of books have been donated to build up maritime libraries in Africa, Sri Lanka and other places around the world!
A virtual ceremony was organized in order to award Simon in attendance of the Senior Officers of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and the ICS Greek Branch, the President of the Bristol Maritime Trade Association and the donors The Family of Ted Renshaw.
Congratulations Simon – it is very well deserved!
