ICS Career Week 2026: ICS Students Visit Trafigura Athens Office
As part of ICS Career Week 2026, held from 30 March to 3 April, ICS Greek Branch had the pleasure of organizing a company visit to Trafigura’s Athens office for ICS students on Thursday, 2nd of April 2026.
This visit forms part of the long-standing and close collaboration between ICS and Trafigura, reflecting a shared commitment to bridging education with industry and supporting the professional development of future maritime professionals.
During the visit, participants were welcomed by the Trafigura team and introduced to the company’s global operations and core business activities. A dedicated session on Trafigura’s Athens office provided valuable insights into its structure, teams, and day-to-day operations, offering attendees a realistic perspective of working in a leading international trading company.
Particular emphasis was placed on Trafigura’s people and culture, highlighting the company’s values, working environment, and career opportunities, including internships and permanent roles. The interactive nature of the session allowed students to engage directly with professionals, ask questions, and gain meaningful industry insights.
The visit also included a guided office tour, followed by a networking session that fostered open dialogue between students and Trafigura representatives.
As part of the experience, participants were offered the opportunity to undertake an optional technical assessment, providing a valuable pathway for those interested in pursuing career opportunities with the company.
This initiative is aligned with the broader objectives of ICS Career Week, which aims to equip students and young professionals with the skills, knowledge, and exposure required to succeed in the dynamic maritime and trading sectors.
