Geopolitics & Chartering: Understanding the Forces Shaping Global Shipping

Last evening, the ICS Greek Branch had the pleasure of hosting a professional seminar, “Geopolitics & Chartering: How Global Events Shape Freight Markets,” welcoming young and aspiring shipping professionals interested in expanding their understanding of today’s rapidly evolving maritime landscape.
We were especially honoured to welcome Mr. Punit Oza FICS, President of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, who delivered an outstanding lecture on one of the most timely and important topics facing the global shipping industry today.
On behalf of the ICS Greek Branch, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Oza for his insightful presentation and for engaging with our audience on the complex relationship between geopolitics, global trade flows, freight markets and chartering strategies. His perspectives highlighted the importance of understanding the wider forces that shape commercial shipping and reinforced the value of continuous professional learning.

At the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Greek Branch, we remain committed to supporting the next generation of shipping professionals by providing access to high-quality educational initiatives, industry insights and lifelong learning opportunities. Seminars such as this reflect our mission to ensure that maritime professionals stay ahead of industry developments and are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to navigate an increasingly dynamic global environment.
We would also like to thank everyone who joined us for this engaging evening. The active participation, insightful questions and networking that followed once again demonstrated the enthusiasm of the shipping community for continuous professional development.
