ICS Greek Branch Concludes a Highly Successful Participation at Posidonia 2026

The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) Greek Branch and the Hellenic Management Centre (HMC) successfully concluded their participation at Posidonia 2026, the world’s leading international shipping exhibition, held from 1 – 5 June 2026 at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens.

Posidonia 2026 proved to be the largest and most successful edition in the exhibition’s history, welcoming more than 40,000 maritime professionals from around the world and bringing together 2,227 exhibitors from 83 countries. The event once again confirmed its position as the premier global meeting point for the international shipping community.

Throughout the exhibition week, the ICS Greek Branch stand served as a vibrant meeting point for members, students, shipping professionals, industry leaders, partners and friends from across the global maritime community.

A highlight of the week was the ICS Members’ Gathering, held on Wednesday, 3 June, at the ICS Greek Branch stand. The event brought together ICS members from all ICS Branches around the world, providing an excellent opportunity for networking, professional exchange and strengthening the international ties that unite the global ICS community.

The Greek Branch was honoured to welcome Marc Buchholz, International Vice Chairman of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, whose presence further reinforced the importance of international collaboration and professional development within the shipping industry.

Commenting on the exhibition, representatives of the ICS Greek Branch noted that Posidonia continues to demonstrate the strength, resilience and global significance of the maritime sector, while also highlighting the growing importance of education, professional qualifications and lifelong learning in an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving industry.

The Branch would like to extend its sincere appreciation to all members, students, colleagues, friends and industry professionals who visited the stand throughout the week and contributed to making Posidonia 2026 such a memorable and productive event.

As the curtains close on a record-breaking Posidonia 2026, the ICS Greek Branch looks forward to continuing its mission of promoting professionalism, knowledge and excellence within shipping, while already anticipating the opportunity to reconnect with the global maritime community at Posidonia 2028.

We look forward to seeing you again in Greece in 2028.
