HMC / ICS Greek Branch Hosts Successful Career & Recruitment Day with TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping

The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Greek Branch successfully hosted a dedicated Career & Recruitment Day with TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping on 14 October 2026, bringing together ICS students and members with representatives of one of the world’s leading energy and shipping organisations.

Throughout the day, selected candidates had the opportunity to participate in individual one-to-one meetings and interviews with the TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping team, discussing current career opportunities within the company’s newly established operations in Athens and gaining direct insight into the skills and experience sought by the organisation.

Representing TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping were Marine Diorcet, Talent Acquisition Specialist – Trading & Shipping, and Capt. Stefano Fratoni, Demurrage Manager – TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping Hellas. We were particularly pleased to offer our students and members direct access to industry professionals and the opportunity to present their experience, ambitions and professional profiles in a focused recruitment environment.

The initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of ICS Greek Branch to supporting the career development and professional progression of our students and members. Our role extends beyond education and professional qualifications. We aim to create meaningful connections between our community and the maritime industry, providing opportunities for networking, employment, professional development and long-term career growth.

At the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, education is part of a much wider professional journey. By bringing together students, members, shipping professionals and leading maritime organisations, we seek to strengthen the connection between professional knowledge and the needs of the industry, while helping the next generation of shipping professionals take the next step in their careers.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping for their participation, their time and their trust in our community, and particularly to Marine Diorcet and Capt. Stefano Fratoni for meeting individually with our candidates throughout the day.

We also thank all the ICS students and members who participated and contributed to the success of the event.

HMC / ICS Greek Branch will continue to develop initiatives that connect education, professional development and career opportunities across the international shipping community.
