ICS Greek Branch Welcomes Bayes Business School Students for Industry Lecture in Piraeus

On 7 May 2026, the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) Greek Branch had the pleasure of welcoming more than 30 students from the Shipping, Trade & Finance postgraduate programme of Bayes Business School Bayes Business School to its premises in Piraeus.
The visit commenced with a welcome address and introduction to the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers delivered by ICS Vice President, Natalia Margioli, FICS. This was followed by a guest lecture on “Dry Cargo Freight Markets: Structure, Participants and Risk Management in Modern Chartering.”
The lecture was delivered by Amalia Miliou Theocharaki, Deputy CEO of Theo Shipping and ICS Fellow Member, and offered students valuable practical insights into dry cargo markets, chartering structures, and risk management practices in today’s shipping environment.
ICS Greek Branch would like to extend its sincere thanks to Bayes Business School and particularly to Dr. Nikos Papapostolou for organising this educational visit and for the longstanding collaboration between our institutions.
ICS Greek Branch maintains a strong relationship with Bayes Business School and remains committed to supporting students and young professionals in their academic and professional development within the maritime sector.
We would also like to warmly thank Amalia Miliou – Theocharaki for sharing her expertise and valuable industry insights with the next generation of shipping professionals.
We look forward to future collaborations and to welcoming the next cohort of the Shipping, Trade & Finance programme next year.
