EXAMINATIONS

Upon completion of the ICS Annual Professional Maritime Programme, candidates have the following examination options:

  • null
    Professional Qualifying Examinations (PQE)

    It comprises 7 examinations (4 compulsory and 3 optional) which you can do over five years and lead to ICS Membership and full qualification.

  • null
    Advanced Diploma (AD)

    Consists of Shipping Business examination plus Economics of Sea Transport or Legal Principles in Shipping Busines or one (1) elective module.

    AD can be elected when the candidates are not able to sit all seven modules in one examination period but wish to take the first step towards ICS Membership.

  • null
    Foundation Diploma (FD)

    Consists of Introduction to Shipping examination plus Economics of Sea Transport or Legal Principles in Shipping Busines or one (1) elective module.

    Foundation Diploma is a standalone qualification which counts towards your membership examinations (PQE).

EXEMPTIONS

Candidates with relevant professional or educational qualifications may apply for exemptions from a maximum of three (3) exams, by submitting the Exemption Application Form and the relevant documentation via www.shipbrokers.org.

Exemption Fees: The exemption fee is 180 pounds per subject.

EXAMINATION ANNOUNCEMENT

Due to the developments of COVID-19 the ICS NOVEMBER 2020 EXAMINATION WEEK 09/11 to 12/11 is CANCELLED.

Hellenic Management Centre / ICS Greek Branch will follow all COVID-19 precautionary measures and will be continuously monitoring the situation and governmental announcements.

The results of examined modules during the week 2/11/20 – 6/11/2020 will be announced on 25 February 2021. To view your results you should log in at www.shipbrokers.org

Until further notice the next ICS Examination Session is in May 2021.

November 2020 exam week: 2-12 November 2020

November 2020 Exam Results for week 02/11/2020 to 6/11/2020 published: 25 February 2021

 

MAY 2021 EXAM SESSION

Final deadline for registration for May 2021 Exams:  8 April 2021

Deadline for deferment, exam centre or subject changes: 22 April 2021
(no further changes or deferments will be allowed after this date)

May 2021 exam week: 17-27 May 2021

May 2021 Exam Results published: 26 August 2021
